Apps of the week – Talk to your cat, a Cockney pie & mash shop owner or God, with your iPhone. The Appnova Web Design London Blog.

A friend told me, the other day: “now that I’ve got an iPhone 4s, I don’t need no girlfriend”; the Apple device solves many problems, he said, whilst a girlfriend creates many problems.

Although I don’t agree with such a strong statement – partially inspired by the sixth pint of stout – I have to admit you can almost do anything with an iPhone, even find a way to speak to your cat, and other people/entities/deities.

Human-to-Cat Translator.

Another cat-related classy app. We all know cats are more popular than The Beatles now, but it is still difficult to understand what they say; here’s a handy translator.

‘Human-to-Cat Translator dares to impress even the most ill-tempered sourpuss.’

‘Supports all human languages (except Swahili).’

Fancy a Frank and Pat, me old china? Confused? You should use “Cockney Small Teacher”.

You get lost in Befnal Green and want to order a tea, but you don’t speak Cockney? No problem, this app will get you out of trouble.

‘If you want to understand Cockney, impress your friends or maybe even scare somebody, “Cockney Small Teacher” is a great application to start learning it’.

Very useful, although I don’t understand the ‘scare somebody’ part. Who’s afraid of David Bowie?

iTalk to God.

This application ‘is much more PERSONAL and RELEVANT than a random/daily verse generator or a keyword-searchable Bible. iTalk to God facilitates a personal and meaningful conversation between you and God’.

After you had a chat with the Lord, you can publish it on your Facebook profile.
